Administrative Order - 2022-CC-080
Pursuant to Article 3, Section 1 of the Kansas Constitution, K.S.A. 35-107, and amendments thereto, K.S.A. 20-101, and amendments thereto, Section 8.9 of the Kansas Court Personnel Rules, and the executive memorandum issued by Governor Laura Kelly on November 14, 2022, the following dates have been approved for calendar year 2023 holidays.

A district court may defer observance of a holiday if the holiday would interfere with judicial proceedings in progress.
At the discretion of the chief judge and approval of the judicial administrator, a district court may remain open on any of the above designated holidays when the local county courthouse is open for business and observes as a substitute holiday a county designated holiday not otherwise observed by the Judicial Branch.
